الوصف الوظيفي
- Monitor and maintain airway clearance for assigned patients utilizing adjunctive procedures such as mechanical suction, percussion and postural drainage.
- Provide chest physical therapy, and hyperinflation therapy as order by physician.
- Apply appropriate mechanical ventilator modalities as initiated by physician order.
- Apply Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NPPV), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Bi-Level, Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) as per physician order.
- Perform bedside pulmonary mechanics measures and evaluate mechanically ventilated patients for extubation readiness.
- Institute and monitor oscillating ventilation and cardiopulmonary status of all assigned patients.
- Interpret clinical data to optimize patient clinical objectives and perform Capnography monitoring.
- Assist physician during all patient transportations and bronchoscopy procedures.
- Evaluate appropriateness of medical orders.
- Adhere to Infection Control standards, safety and environmental health practices.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
المهارات
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good working knowledge of word processing equipment, storage/retrieval systems related to medical data.
