Carries out the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the patients including prescribing of all necessary medication & investigations.
Offers consultation to other departments in his specialty as well as in General Medical Cases.
Takes on- call duty for medical patients, who present to Emergency Department and patients in Medical Department according to the monthly rota.
Participates in the teaching of the Medical Staff in general and specifically in his own discipline of Pulmonology.
Undertakes and participates in research projects in collaboration with Medical and Paramedical Staff as appropriate.
Participates in the administration of the department, when requested to do by the Chief of Department or Higher Authority.
Carries out diagnostic procedures related to his specialty (e.g. Bronchoscopy) when indicated.
