• Responsible for the development, implementation and review of Department Policies and Procedures.

• Management and control of the day-to-day activities of the section.

• Raise/follow up spare parts purchase order when required.

• Responsible for the technical evaluation of old medical equipment and recommendations for hospital uses.

• Responsible for assessing the compatibility and safety of all new medical equipment and their implementation in the maintenance arrangement plan.

• Responsible for the technical specifications/evaluation and appraisal of new rejected medical equipment.

• Responsible for the establishment and implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule.

• Analyze cost/work schedules, set priorities and expedite operations and repairs.

• Responsible for the preparation/approval of personnel evaluations/actions within the Biomedical Engineering Section.

• Supervise and coordinate all Maintenance Service Contracts that cover  Biomedical Equipment by outside contracts such as X-ray, Radiation   Therapy, Laboratory Chemical analyzer and cell counter, etc.

• Participate on safety procurement and other committees as required.

• Controlling performance of Maintenance Contractors.

• Preparation of Monthly reports and monthly on-call duty schedule.

• Conduct all monitoring activities in an efficient and timely manner.

• Develop all documentation, reports and memorandums accurately to the point and correct.

• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities in all sites belonging to the Armed Forces Hospitals-Taif Region as required by the chief facility engineer .

• Wide knowledge of biomedical equipment.

• Working of installation and maintenance of medical equipment.

• Knowledge of electrical safety environment.

• Able to use microsoft office program .

• Proficiency in English (read, write and speak) and Arabic language.
