Job Description
- Picks-up, sorts and delivers inter-departmental mail documents and other records between all departments of the hospital (where applicable).
- Ensures safe delivery of correspondences to various Hospital Departments.
- Exercises great care in the carrying and delivery of mails.
- Assists the secretary in maintaining the standardized filing system within the department.
- Relieves the secretary, acting as a receptionist in screening visitors and telephone calls.
- Assists with simple office tasks, including photocopying and typing.
- Maintains high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Notifies of equipment malfunction.
- Maintains supply store in food order and notifies of requirements.
- Performs other duties/tasks within the realm of the individual’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
