3. Duties and Responsibilities:
3. 1 Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, code of Medical Ethics, Rules and
Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division.
3.2 Uses clinical skills and methods appropriate to prosthodontics and establishes a plan
of action in the
patients best interest.
3.3 Follows up those patients with dental problems or when a therapeutic response requires
evaluation.
3.4 Carries out full range of clinical duties as assigned
by the Consultant/Senior Registrar In
Prosthodontics in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
3.5 Participates in the improvement of quality
of patient care (Total
Quality Management programme,
Quality Assessment Improvement programme) as applicable.

3.6 Instructs and guides when necessary junior dental staff in the overall care
of patients, supervises their
performance/work and contributes to the
training and teaching activities in the department.
3.7 To report and discuss all unusual findings, complication or alterations in the management
plan with the Consultant/Senior Registrar.
3.8 Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to
continuing medical education.
3-9 Works towards completing his postgraduate training and passing the Final Part of his Board,
Fellowship.
3.10 Attends the continuing Medical Education programme
of the department.
3.11 Shares workload in his specialty
during the absence of his colleagues.
3.12 Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice
with regard to morbidity and
cost effectiveness.
3. 13 Participates in approved research projects.

3.14 Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm
of his/her knowledge, skills
and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.

7. Personal Qualities/Skills required:
7.1 Ability to assume greater responsibility in matters of patient care.
7.2 Commitment to learning and training in pursuance of a career in his chosen
specialty.
7.3 Ability to deal calmly, with tact and diplomacy to patient and staff alike.
7.4 Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
