The Health Information Managment Lecturer is responsible for preparing materials used in the Health Information Systems courses to which he is assigned under the direction and supervision of the Head of Health Information Department

- Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural environment.

-Respect department confidentiality code of practice.

-Ability to prioritize workload on a daily/weekly basis and meet deadlines.

-Ability to work independently without direct supervision

- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

- Familiarity with computer applications for health information departments.

- Understanding of each of the following:

Electronic spreadsheets (MS Excel)

Database software (MS Acess)

Word Processing software (MS Word)

Other current software packages used in the processing of health information data/information

- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
