3.1 Washes and decontaminates used instruments and equipment by standard techniques.
3.2 Maintains and operates auto washers/sterilizers, ultrasonic washer, steam autoclaves and other related equipment adhering to instructions.
3.3 Process and maintains sterile instruments and surgical sets by adhering to adequacy of sets and correct handling techniques.
Inspects all instruments and devices to determine that they are in good working condition And Reports any defective items to the CSSD Supervisor. Receiving and issuing items to and from the units in a timely manner and correctly documents any
shortage.

3.6 Assist the CSSD Supervisor by requesting CSSD supply needs to ensure the standardized supply and
order quantity ensuring continuance of standards and supply.
3.7 Complies and acts in a manner conducive to the hospital overall personal policy and procedures,
responsible for scheduling, time recording and department organization and administration.
3.8 Actively participates in educational programs to promote personal growth and education, offers suggestions related to improved service to units.
3.9 Acts as a clinical resource for matters relating to CSSD.
3.10 Participates and ensures the CSSD area is maintained in a safe, clean, tidy and organized manner.
3.1 I Ensures monitoring, documenting and reporting of effectiveness of steam autoclaves. Reports defects to the CSSD Supervisor. Ensures the notification of appropriate departments of
malfunctioning of equipment's and necessary scheduling of services.
3.12 Works on all shifts, and on-call as assigned and required.
3. l3 Acts in the capacity of the CSSD Supervisor in his/her absence and conducts all notification procedures as would the supervisor in compliance to established policies and procedures.
3.14 Complies with inter-departmental policies and procedures and initiates requests for maintenance services as necessary.
3.15 Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and ability

6.1 Preferably, able to communicate and work effectively with both the Arabic and English languages.
6.2 Able to work within a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
6.3 Should be able to recognize and develop own personal and professional areas of need.
