SENIOR MEDICAL GAS TECHNICIAN

Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.

Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department and the hospital as per the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.

Actively participates in the education requirement for the department and the hospital as per the Hospital Education Program.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the scope of practice and employment contract

Performs daily check-up on Medical Gas Plant.

Performs all corrective and preventive maintenance for medical gas plant.

Performs all corrective and preventive maintenance for all medical gas outlets in hospital, college including ceiling pendent and area valves in the hospital.

Refills oxygen tanks.

Delivers oxygen cylinders to hospital wards/units and college.

Performs planned preventive tasks and corrective maintenance work on the medical and industrial gasses network and centralized vacuum system.

Carries out all preventive maintenance tasks as recommended by the manufacturer such as; safety valve lifting test, leak rate test, temperature and automatic control test, air detector performance test.

Carries out all corrective maintenance when required.

Keeps detailed logs and records of all problems and repairs in the Department with the equipment.

Prepares all material lists required to complete the maintenance tasks and complete the PR’s and DR’s.

Troubleshoots and analyzes all problems with sterilization equipment for corrective solutions.

Performs other tasks and assignments as directed by the Foreman-Medical Gas / Sterilization.

Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office.

Ability to work as a team leader.

Able to work independently and able to manage priorities and tasks.

Processes strong work ethics.
