• Demonstrates knowledge and competence of meeting the psychological and physical needs of the patient during perioperative, intra operative and post operative.

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in assisting with obstetrical, gynaecological and neonatal surgeries

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in all aspects of patient safety, transfer and positioning

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in the mechanics of the scrubbing, gowning and gloving techniques.

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in the role of scrub nurse, circulating nurse and recovery nurse.

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in relation to all swabs, sharps and instrument count.

Demonstrates knowledge and competence in the use and maintenance of O.R. equipments

Demonstrates knowledge and competence in the procedures relating to still births and products of conception

Demonstrates knowledge and competence in preparation of equipment for monitoring the patient during surgery

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence in assisting with administration of different types of anaesthesia.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Nursing Diploma of three years programme.

• Valid license to practice from the country of origin.

• Must have Saudi Council Registration.

• Post-basic certificate in area of responsibility is preferred.

• BCLS Certified.

• Posses other certification pertinent to area of expertise, i.e. NALS, PALS, ACLS, ATLAS where applicable.

• Minimum of five years of experience in general nursing.

• Two to three years experience in current area.

• Good interpersonal skills.
