المهام و الواجبات
Discuss of the protocol for respiratory care of individual patients with the Respiratory Therapist, the Consultant Pulmonologist and Anesthetist.
Provide the required respiratory care, with continuing monitoring and evaluation according to the request of referring physician.
Obtain arterial blood samples to evaluates respiratory status and manage ventilator accordingly.
Ensures that equipment used to conduct respiratory therapy equipment and/or studies is regularly inspected, maintained, and calibrated, and appropriate records are maintained for these activities.
Ensures that a respiratory safety program for patients, staff, and visitors is in place, is followed, and is compliant with applicable professional standards, laws, and regulations.
Assist in Departmental research projects and in assessment of new respiratory care equipment and technology and give feedback to Supervisor.
Participate in teaching and in-service education programs, as mandatory hospital standards.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the departmental policy and procedures and patients needs and must be knowledgable and skilled.
Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient education practice.
Participates in CQIPS improvement activities, system control activities, and staff development activities.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.
