المهام و الواجبات
Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff, and those specific to the department.
Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.
To clerk and examine the patients admitted to the medical ward, to carry out the appropriate investigation, and report the result to senior colleagues.
To attend Internal Medicine Out-patient Clinic when required for educational purposes as well as to assist in taking the patient histories and examination under the supervision of senior colleagues.
To acquire and maintain valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
To assist his senior colleagues in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures as required.
To attend the teaching and training program within and outside the department.
To work towards completing his postgraduate training and passing the Final Part of the Saudi Board or Fellowship.
Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties about continuing medical education.
Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning.
Shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.
Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated.
Write referrals to specialists for patients, as treatment plans dictate.
Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient education practice.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, and abilities. Takes on-call duty under the department’s schedule
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement And Patient Safety (CQI&PS) system improvement activities, system control activities, and staff development activities.
المهارات
Experience in any special branch of Internal Medicine. Experience in clinical teaching, organization of medical courses or participation in research projects, clinical or experimental.
Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Knowledgeable of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
