Provide clinical support for emotionally disturbed patients under the direct supervision of senior psychiatrist.

Escort patients to exam room; measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart.

Provide instructions to patients as instructed by psychiatry providers.

Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by safeguarding medical information and keeping it confidential.

Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Keep equipment operating by following instructions for use; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies, perform preventative maintenance.

Carrying out neuropsychological assessments.

Contributes to multidisciplinary discussions about patients diagnoses, treatment, risk assessment and care plan issues.

Undertakes specifies behavioural observations and assessments.

Carries out specified treatment and intervention programmes with patients as directed by the psychiatrist.

Works with patients carers, relatives, and other involved in their care including but not limited to social service specialist, staff nurse and other mental health workers.

Responsible for own professional development and growth and remains updated in current professional practices by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Responsible for maintaining the validity of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification as required for renewal of Saudi Council Registration.

Participate in community activities as related to health education and patient education practice.

Participates in CQIPS System Improvement Activities, System Control Activities, Staff Development Activities.

Environmental Safety Awareness i.e. CPR, Disaster Fire, and Infection Control.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Good judgment and critical thinking.

Knowledgeable of psychological theory.

Ability to relate to a wide range of people including patients and colleagues.

Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
