Pharmacist / صيدلي

• Participates in dispensing of pharmaceuticals for in-patients and out-patients.

• Communicates with the prescribers regarding any information or abnormality.

• Compounds/manufactures medications that are not available in the Pharmacy and/or prescribed by some prescribers, i.e. Dermatologists.

• Performs activities assigned to Pharmacy Technicians, when a Technician is not on duty or is busy with other important duties.

• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistant/Aides and assist in their training.

• Monitors the stock situation of pharmaceuticals in the shelves, check expiry date and prepares list of medications to be ordered from Pharmacy Store.

• Provides drug information to Doctors, Nurses and any other prescribers.

• Advises out-patients and in-patients on correct administration of medicines and helps patient education.

• Collects various statistical data regarding dispensing of medications which is needed for monthly activity report.

• Experience of unit-dose system.

• Good command of written and spoken English (and Arabic if possible).

• Interest in computers.
