Head Nurse ICU

o Assumes administrative and clinical responsibility for the management of her designated units.
o Ensures unit staff utilizes the nursing process, develops, implements and evaluates standards of patient care on an on-going basis.
o Acts a clinical resource for direct patient care.
o Develops, coordinates and ensures performance and quality improvement activities. Is supportive of Nursing Department and the hospital’s Continuous Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (CQI & PS) program.
o Willingness to be flexible to work as required depending on the department needs
o Adheres to the standards of Joint Commission International (JCI) and Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI)
o Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, akills and abilities at the request of Director of Nursing

o Five years continuous ICU experience in a large acute general hospital
o Three years work experience as a Head Nurse of ICU
o Current working knowledge of acute area to which assigned
o Proficient with computer programs
o Good problem-solving skills.
