ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN / فنيين تخدير

Prepares anesthetic machine equipment and supplies for use by Anesthetist in the Operating Room.

Responsible for the placement of monitoring equipment for the patient and performs basic trouble shooting and reports equipment malfunction/defective immediately.

Disassembles, cleans, reassembles, and otherwise prepares for reuse, specified anesthesia equipment and/or send to CSSD for sterilization.

Assists in the safe and proper positioning of patients, for the provision of adequate exposure, for anesthesia and surgery.

Responsible for maintaining departmental supply stocks and prepare purchasing request.

Performs routine daily checklist and preventive maintenance of anesthesia equipment and prepares requisitions for repair services in accordance with the hospital policy.

Performs ‘on call duty’ during evening, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed.

Performs other job-related duties not specifically enumerated in this Job Description which may, from time to time, be assigned by the Patient Services or by the Department of Anesthesia.

 Responsible for maintaining the validity of BCLS & ACLS certification as required for renewal of Saudi Council Registration.

Performs duties in Anesthesia clinic, order patients files from Medical Records and send them back.

Assists with transport of critical patients between facilities.

Participates in CQIPS System Improvement Activities, System Control Activities, Staff Development Activities.

Environmental Safety Awareness i.e. CPR, Disaster Fire, and Infection Control.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledgeable of anesthesia equipments and its functions.

Knowledgeable of asceptic and sterile techniques.

Knowledgeable of medical terminologies.
