Ambulance Attendents

Facilitate in transporting patients from their location to their requested approved destination following the basic transport policy and procedures.

The employee will:

• Maintain a professional conduct and appearance at all times.

• Perform the basic range of ambulance escort duties as laid down in the procedures on transporting patients including lifting and moving patients.

• Maintain the readiness of the ambulance vehicles in all aspects of cleanliness and supplies.

• Drive ambulance vehicle as necessary.

• Act as a team leader during patient transport and maintain a two way communication with the dispatcher regarding the status of transport.

• Follow infection control policies and procedures

• Operate all applicable equipments that are set in the scope of the Ambulance Attendant in accordance with the PSMMC policy and procedures.

• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Basic level of nursing skills.

• Ability to comprehend both English and Arabic language.

• Ability to operate department’s communication equipment’s.

• Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural environment.

• Ability to teach others.
