JobSpecificDuties
Assess implements and evaluates patients care in the unit in accordance with established standards and practices
Collaborates with other health care team members in planning and providing safe and comprehensive care
Functions quickly and effectively in an emergency situation
Evaluates patient’s treatment and care reports pertinent information to appropriate nursing or medical personnel
Assists the doctors and carry out prescribed treatment including administration of medication as per hospital policy
Documentations care, observed physical and emotional symptoms and changes according to hospital policy
Responsible for safe-keeping of narcotics when in- charge
Maintains a safe and clean environment for the patient, including fire and safety, disaster management and infection control
Respect the dignity of patients and maintains confidentiality
Participates in the development and training of nursing institutes students
Acts as mentor and assists with orientation of new staff
Take charge of shifts and operational management of the unit as and when required
Monitors and maintains stock of consumables/clinical supplies
Participates in Nursing Committees
Attends CPR update and Medication competency workshops
Maintain professional license
Contributes to Total Quality Management by identifying nursing problems in thee unit
Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code policy
Performs other duties within the realm of his/her qualifications and experiences
