5.1 Inspect the hospital, ancillaries, and accommodations to locate  hazardous conditions and fire code violations such as accumulations  of combustible material, electrical wirings, and inadequate or non- functional fire exits.

5.2 Identifies corrective actions that must be made in order to bring  properties into compliance with applicable fire codes, laws, regulations, and standards.

5.3 Performs general and specialized inspections like sprinkler, fire alarm systems, and hazardous materials.

5.4 Conducts building plan reviews and assists with final building inspections.

5.5 Assists citizens and other agency personnel with code interpretations and information when requested, prepares written documents, and   maintains files.

5.6 Conduct fire code compliance follow up to ensure that corrective actions have been taken in cases where violations were found.

5.7 Conducts regular fire and evacuation drills to different occupancies.

5.8 Identifies hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA.

5.9 Ensure proper maintenance and operation of fire-fighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire exit doors.

5.10 Review blueprints, building plans, site access and specifications of fire-fighting equipment to ensure compliance with applicable fire safety codes and standards.

5.11 Educates public on fire safety issues.

8.1 Position requires conducting fire safety programs and a working knowledge of methods of fire prevention, fire protection systems, and building construction.

8.2 Position requires effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to make mathematical calculations.

8.3 Knowledge of code enforcement and related practices.

8.4 Able to interpret and apply laws, codes, rules and regulations relative to the work.

8.5 Report writing skills.

8.6 Computer literate.

8.7 Able to acquire a valid Saudi Driving License.
