· Be highly knowledgeable of GACA Regulations, the Medevac’s GOM, and other materials pertinent to the duties.

· Be highly knowledgeable in-flight dispatching, and logistic support and must be able to make time-dependent logistical decisions relating to the safety of flight, security, personnel.

· Ensure flight operations are conducted in a professional and disciplined manner in accordance with applicable GACAR regulations plus the Medevac’s GOM.

· Provides weather information for flight crews and continuously monitors for change, updates the flight crew of significant changes to weather, field conditions, or Air Traffic concerns, and makes recommendations for changes to the original plan, as needed, in the interest of safety.

· Maintain flight following to ensure the safety of all flights.

· Monitor the progress of each flight paying specific attention to changing weather and field conditions at departure, destination, and alternate airports.

· Maintain department records to ensure accurate reporting.

· Maintain close liaison / communications (pre-flight / post-flight) with flight crew.

· Schedule ground transportation and accommodations for flight crew, as needed.

· Monitor flight and duty time of crew to ensure compliance.

· Initiate, amend, and prepare Flight Releases in accordance with GACA regulations.

· Ensure crew and aircraft assignments are current and up to date.

· Performs other duties as assigned or required.

GACA Aircraft Dispatcher’s license
