• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs routine and follow-up inspections of swimming pool, food service establishments, and other various facilities to determine compliance with local and The Kingdom’s Sanitary Code requirements.

• Support the hospital health care system by performing hygiene and sanitation inspections, pest control procedures, communicable disease control, environmental and occupational hygiene inspections, and other duties related to preventive medicine.

• Support epidemiologists in search for patterns of disease and likely causes.

• Assist epidemiologist oversee the public health programs, including statistical analysis, health care planning, surveillance systems, and public health improvement such as outbreak disease.

• Liaises with the Maintenance Supervisor as to the physical and structural integrity of the hospital facilities and the status of work in progress.

• Works with occupational health professionals to monitor workplace hazards such as lead or carbon monoxide exposure as well as hazardous-materials handling compliance.

Conduct compliance investigations, help conduct mass immunization events, write reports and brief their superiors on progress and results

• Ensure that the facility areas and work environment for medical and non-medical staffs are free of hazardous objects and substances.

• Participates in CQI&PS System Control Activities, Staff Development, Environmental Safety Awareness and Fire and Safety Practices, Disaster, CPR and Infection Control.

• Performs other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
