1. Perform reception duties, checking and washing of all used surgical ​equipment returned to the department for processing in line with ​departmental.

2. Maintains Assemble all types of surgical equipment, dressing packs,  ​supplementary instruments, and non-container instruments surgical trays used throughout the hospital using the materials and plants withinthe department in a safe and effective manner in line with departmental.

3. Improve and maintain the quality of produced work in the CSSD to  ​the highest standard of quality.

4. Inform the immediate supervisor/specialist of any defects connected  ​with either surgical equipment or goods processed by the department  ​in the process of production and delivery.

5. Contribute to on-call commitment to cover the technical requirement  ​for patients under the care of the clinician.

6. Actively participate in departmental responsibilities, fire/disaster ​drills, and in­ service training.

7. Monitor and maintain Infection Control Policy and Quality ​Assurance.

8. Carry out autoclave leak rate tests in conjunction with the Autoclave  ​Maintenance Engineer and record the results.

9. Carry out Bowie-Dick pre-use autoclave test, complete all ​paperwork, and present it to the Quality Control Officer for ​authorization of machine use.

10. Carry out microbiological challenge tests on all sterilizer processes  ​and note batch load sheet.

11. Load and unload the autoclave trolley in a manner, which will be  ​conducive to the sterilization process to be used and ensure thorough  ​drying of load contents.

12. Check all products prior to loading to ensure they carry the batch code  ​of alabel of the correct color corresponding to the year period.

13. Check each individual finished load to establish that all heat indicators  ​have changed color and that the products are dry and annotate the  ​batch record sheet to authorize the removal and supply of the sterile  ​goods.

14. Prepare and check all items forsterilization and accept only items that match the \"permissible load listing.

15. Liaise with the Engineers and control PPM for the sterilizers.

16. Consult with the Quality Control Officer regarding any unlisted ​products sent for sterilization to ascertain their acceptance  ​for entrance in the register of \"permissible load listing.

17. Be required to maintain all logbooks Porous Load Autoclaves.

18. Check all materials accessories use for sterilization and wrapping  ​materials/tapes.

19. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm  ​of the employee's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Essential:

• Verbal and written comprehension of the English language.

• Desirable:

• Knowledge of Surgical instruments desirable.

• Previous foreign travel/work experience desirable.
