6.1 Performs routine radiological examinations according to agreed policies and procedures.

6.2 Performs specialist radiological procedures under the supervision of more senior trained staff. Undertakes training in these procedures as required by the Department.

6.3 Ensures patients and staff are protected from unnecessary hazards due to radiation.

6.4 Follow the departmental rotas to include working single-handed on call outside normal working hours.

6.5 Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current developments and new techniques in radiology and imaging.

6.6 Participates in orientation and in-service education program.

6.7 Assists in the training, teaching, supervision and assessment of trainee technicians, radiologists and others as required.
