استشاري جراحة وزراعة كلى (Consultant Renal Transplant Surgeon)

1 Participates in all mandatorv departmental activities and the Organ Transplant Centre's Activities, i.e. Staff Meeting, Core Lectures, Research Forum, etc. and serves on departmental.
2 Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the hospital.
3 Undertakes the administrative duties as assigned by the Section Head, Chairman of the department and Director, Organ Transplant Centre,
4 Provides required patient care in the field of Kidney Transplant surgery in accordance with standards of medical care laid down by the hospital.
5 Assumes shared responsibility with Consultant Transplant Nephrology for the management of new transplant recipients.
6 Provides on-call coverage for the Section of Kidney and Transplant Surgery on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends and public holidavs.
7 Assumes responsibility for patients under his care. Liaises with all various support service departments and medical specializations to provide appropriate and timelv medical care in accordance with the standard laid down by the hospital.
8 Complies with all hospital standards and policies pertaining to acceptance, eligibilitv, admission processes, consultation, daily patient care, operating room, outpatient practices, and patient discharge.
9 Admits patients, initiates investigations and ensures findings are recorded. Assesses patient's disease or conditions to determine appropriate therapeutic modalities/procedures.
10 Conducts ward rounds as per policv and reassesses inpatients under care. Documents findings in medical records.
11 Ensures appropriate patient preparation for procedures/surgerv and performs procedures/surgery as indicated in the signed clinical privilege form
12 Attends specialty clinics, out-patients clinics, day surgical units, day medical units, special procedure, treatment areas.
13 Participates in the Renal Transplant Committee, Renal Transplant Collaborative Practice Committee, meetings and other committee as required.
14 Performs anv other related duties, as assigned
15 Directs and advises junior staff on patient management, especially in the field of Adult Transplant Nephrology and kidnev transplantation.
16 Guides and activelv participates in the training and teaching of Residents, Fellows, Assistant Consultants and Junior staff.
17 Keeps abreast with all the latest techniques and developments, especially in the field of Adult Transplant Nephrology and kidnev transplantation, following and implementing them on a selective basis to improve technical standards,
18 Actively participates in undergraduate and postgraduate educational activities and training programs as assigned by the chairman and/or Director, Organ Transplant Centre.
19 Participates in national and international medical conferences.
20 Actively participates in clinical, basic and translational research projects and publishes papers in accordance with Research Advisory Council Policy in order to advance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education and contribute to the national and international recognition of the hospital

1 Graduate from a recognize medical school.
2 Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification such as American Board, MRCPS, GMT/CCST and Fellowships
3 Vast experience in Kidney transplantation surgery.
4 Publisher of original work, have participated and preferably led original research
5 Self motivated and with avsareness of current trends in the field.
6 Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
7 Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English
