المهام و الواجبات
1 Maternal fetal Medicine Consultant should have advanced knowledge of medical, surgical, obstetrical , fetal and Genetic complications of pregnancy.
2 Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division
3 Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.
4 Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
5 Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.
6 Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the director of department/ head of division and the Director of Postgraduate & Academic Affairs in planning a programme of career development for trainees.
7 Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.
8 Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.
9 Participates in and/or actively supports approved research projects.
10 Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.
11 Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.
12 Participates in the forward planning, and further development of the depaftment/division
13 Serves on hospital committees as requested
14 Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated
المهارات
He should be able to provide :::
1... Pre conceptional care,
2...Specialized Pre Natal
Care and Intrapartum Care,
3... Obstetrics and Medical complications of pregnancy,
4....Diagnosis and Management of Fetal Anomalies, Fetal complications, and Fetal testing.
5 Graduate from a recognized medical school
6 Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Radiology or OB/ Gayn.
7 Three (3) years specialized post qualification experience in Fetal Medicine. in a recognized center, of which a minimum of two (2) years must be at a Senior Registrar level in Radiology
8 Publisher of original work, have participated and preferably led original research.
9 Self-motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field.
10 Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
11 Ability to speak, write and read English.
