الوصف الوظيفي
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and assists the Head Nurse in promoting a good working atmosphere and in making the most effective and efficient use of staff supplies and services.
- Assumes responsibility for quality of care delivered to patients
- Assesses patients’ needs and condition.
- Collaborates with other health care team members in planning and providing safe and comprehensive care.
- Performs procedures accurately, completely and safely according to hospital policy.
- Functions quickly and effectively in an emergency situation.
- Evaluates patient’s treatment and care and reports pertinent information to appropriate nursing or medical personnel.
- Assists the doctor and carries out prescribed treatment including administration of medication as per hospital policy.
- Documents care, observes physical and emotional symptoms and changes according to hospital policy.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for the patient.
- Complies with hospital-wide and unit-specific policies and procedure.
- Respects the dignity of patients and maintains confidentiality.
- Recognizes and follows infection control practices.
- Takes personal responsibility for own professional development and keeps up-to-date with professional change and development, including English Language skills.
- Communicates effectively and reports pertinent information.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code policy.
- Responsible for keeping Drug Calculation certification 2 yearly.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital quality program.
- Participates in CQI & PS Activities.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of her knowledge, skills and abilities as assigned and delegated in accordance with the hospital policy.
- Clinical Staff (Nurses, Physicians, Dietitian) and health educator are knowledgeable about patient education and it is integral part of care process. Feedback is ensured for proper understanding; patient and family education is documented in patient medical record.
- The job description of the clinical staff (e.g. nurses, physicians, dietitians) reflects their role in patient/family education.
- Staff are aware of their responsibilities in protecting patient and family rights.
