المهام و الواجبات
3.1 Establishes a good working environment in which patients receive a high standard of
care.
3.2 Takes responsibility for the direct delivery of professional and competent patient
care by promoting quality care standards.
3.3 Acts on behalf of or at the direction of the Head NurselCharge Nurse in setting and
monitoring standards for patient care.
3.4 Participates in the monitoring of the Planning, delivery of care and evaluation of the
individualized Patient Care.
3.5 lnforms the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse of any changes in circumstances which affect
the standards ofcare.
3.6 Establishes and develops effective communications with all staff of other
disciplines, patients, relatives and all hospital ernployees.
3.7 Maintains the safety and well-being of patients and staffin accordance with policies
and procedures.
3.8 Uses equipment and supplies in cost effective and responsible manner and
participates in the procedure for ordering supplies within the agreed budget as
delegated.
3.9 Adheres to Infection Control guidelines and practices according to the policy.
3.10 Ensures that students and ternporary staff allocated to the ward have appropriate
orientation, teaching and support in accordance with their curricular objectives and
reports any maffer of concern to the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse.
3.11 Participates in the care, custody and administration of Medicines in accordance with
the PPG.
3.12 Documents and reports all accidents/incidents according to hospital policy.
3.13 Ensures that all nursing documentation is completed accurately and legibly and
understands the importance and relevance of their confidential nature.
3.14 Assists in data collection for monitoring and statistical purposes.
3.15 Participates in stafforientation and on-going developmental programmes.
3.16 Takes responsibility for own professional development and growth and remains
updated in current professional practices.
3.17 Maintains required competencies and certificates as per hospital policy.
3.18 Educates patients and/or families on matters relevant to the patient's condition/s as
applicable.
3.19 Advocates the rights of the patients and their families.
3.20 Participates in quality improvement and patient safety activities and attends quality
improvement educational activities as appropriate.
3.21 Addresses patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team approach.
3.22 Maintains confidentiality at all times.
3.23 Carries out other duties appropriate to the role and the individual at the request of
the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse.
