4.1 Assess patient's needs and condition.
4.2 Collaborate with other health care team members in planning and providing
safe and comprehensive care.
4.3 Perform procedures accurately, completely and safely according to hospital
policy.
4.4 Able to function quickly and effectively in an emergency situation.
4.5 Evaluate patient's treatment, care and reports pertinent information to appropriate
nursing or medical personnel.
4.6 Assist the doctor and carry out prescribed treatment including administration of
medication as per hospital policy.
4.7 Document care, observed physical and emotional symptoms and changes
according to hospital policy.
4.8 Responsible for safe - keeping of narcotics when in - charge.
4.9 Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patient.
4.10 Respect the dignity of patients and maintains confidentiality.

4.ll Participate actively in In - service teaching and training of nursing staff.
4.12 Responsible as mentor and assists with orientation of new staff.
4.13 Act as resource personnel for other nursing staff, patients and relatives.
4.14 Take charge of shifts and operational management of the unit as and/when
required.
