Provides professional nursing care to psychiatric patients within the hospital or out-patients clinics, based on the medical plan care, as directed by the head nurse, in accordance with the Nursing philosophy, policies and procedures of the hospital and in keeping with cultural and social mores of kingdom.

4.1     Supervises junior and new staff and participates in orientation and development programs.

4.2     Takes charge of the unit in the absence of the person responsible as required or requested.

4.3     Undertakes the role of the primary care provider specific to a defined patient group.

4.4     Participates in the on-going training and development program of the department/unit.

4.5     Takes responsibility for his/her won professional conduct and growth.

4.6     Acts in accordance with all agreed Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures at all times.

8.1     Good interpersonal skills.

8.2     Possess professional, friendly and warm demeanor with effective collaborative communication skills.
