Duties and Responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction in respect of all aspects of the School’s operation and promotes professional ethics amongst his / her staff.
Plans the Academic Calendar and produces term and staff schedules in collaboration with the Teaching Staff.
Responsible for management of the School budget for operational management of the School.
Conducts a periodic review and provides recommendations on capital equipment required to maintain or improve the quality of education provided by the School.
Develops and implements procedures to facilitate ongoing professional development and extra curricular activities for the Teaching Staff.
Provides regular updates on the status of the School Library with recommendations to the School Board.
Responsible for all aspects of safety for students, staff and visitors including access to the School, use of equipment and supervision of staff and students.
Develops relevant policies and procedures for the day-to-day operation of the School.
Conducts regular staff meetings and produces formal minutes to represent the official records of School management business.
Produces regular and ad-hoc reports required by the Program or for routine reporting to the School Board.
Acts as the senior permanent member of the School Management on the School Board.
Performs other duties within the realm of his/her qualifications and experience.
