Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implement and monitor staff adherence to the, rules and regulations of PSMMC.
2. Manage the operational activities of the department, including the investigation of the complaint raised to the Medico- legal department.
3. Supervise the work of the malpractice researchers and other administrative statf.
4. Ensure the quality of services by measuring actual performance against the JCI Standards and correct non-compliance.
5. Set priorities for improvement, participate in planning and carry out the continuous quality improvement and improvement program in his/her department.
6. Enforce compliance to the relevant department's policies and procedures.
7. Represent the department on the various hospital committees as necessary.
8. Ensure that all personnel are aware of the department's objectives.
9. Motivate the staff by effectively leading and directing them to perform to the best of their abilities.
10. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's knowledge, skills and abilities.
Skills
1. Broad based knowledge related to contemporary health care issues and their impact on provision of services.
2. Knowledge in quality improvement and best practice principles and procedures.
3. Knowledge in performance management.
Education
Graduate from a recognized medical school or dental/surgical, and Valid registration of Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
