Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center.

• Ensures accurate translation of documents and other materials from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic; and types translated documents.

• Adheres to departmental translation policies and procedures during translation activities. Follows established translation rules pertaining to factors such as word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, format and mechanics of written text.

• Maintains the source document confidentiality during and after translation.

• Participates in departmental managerial planning and quality program as requested by the Translation Officer.

• When necessary, performs written translation during medical symposiums and other official events.

• Performs, upon request, translation and interpretation activities for various PSCC departments.

• Performs other related duties as required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated with awareness of current trends in the field

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

• Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English

• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Computer.
