• Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out planned preventive maintenance work in accordance with set maintenance schedule.

• Identifies and rectifies incorrect running, adjusts timing, fuel injection, governing clearances, etc. Carries out spill timing and crankshaft deflections.

• Ensures fuel and oil meet required standards and takes logistical readings.

• Have good mechanical knowledge on gas engines, batteries, electronic, and fuel injections.

• Carries out top overhauls, bearings, changes cylinder liner, in the event of breakdown.

• Performs on call duties as required.

• Ensures that the work area is kept clean, clear and tidy as possible.

• Participates in early morning safety check rota.

• Completes the motor pool work sheet Sunday of each week and submits the same to motor pool supervisor.

• Education/Licensure:

4.1. Minimum of two years Diploma in Auto Mechanic after High School.
