1. Perform the Intraocular lens (IOL) calculations which involves keratometry and A scan
ultrasonography.
2. Perform examination of the visual field (perimetry) using manual and automated
perimetry.
3. Involved in training optometrist trainees in the ophthalmology department.
4. Keep abreast of key developments in the field and be trained to perform new
examination procedures within the ophthalmology specialism.
5. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's
knowledge, skills and abilities.

1. Familiarity/experience of A & B Scan ultrasonography.
2. Knowledge of Keratometry.
3. Manual and automated visual field examination.
4. Knowledge of training techniques.
5. Good standard of oral and written communications skills in Arabic and English.
