Job Description
- Responsible for the assessment, consultation, establishment Development and management, treatment of a speech therapy Services.
- Establish augmentative and alternative communication techniques and strategies.
- Providing services to individuals with hearing loss and their families/ caregivers.
- Using instrumentation (nasoendoscopy, stroboscopy, computer technology) to observe, collect data, and measure parameters of communication and swallowing.
- Educating and counseling individuals , families educators and other persons in the community regarding acceptance , decision making about communication ,swallowing.
- Collaborating with and providing referral and information’s to audiologist , educators , and health professionals as individuals needs dictate
- Writes reports on diagnostics findings, therapy used and progress made .
- Attend continuing education programs designed to improve competency .
- Assists in division planning and developing .
- Perform other duties which may be assigned by consultant in-charge.
- Plans, attends and participates in departmental meeting .
- Fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration with the departments by demonstrating respect for others judgment and capabilities .
