Staff Nurse II - Cardiac Surgery

Job Summary

 Provides quality care to adult cardiac patients.  Provides direct supervision and serves as a resource to other members of the team as allocated.  Takes charge of the unit in the absence of the Charge Nurse.

Education/Licensure

Essential:   Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Nursing, minimum 3 years duration (Western, Saudi, Malaysia, South Africa) or Prince Sultan Cardiac Centre Diploma Program (Saudi).

Bachelor Degree of Nursing (Filipino andEastern Europe ).

Essential:   Current licensure (RN) with a nursing governing body from the employee’s country of origin.

Essential:   License from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Essential:   BLS and ACLS certifications.

Desirable:  Post graduate qualification in Cardiac Nursing.

            Professional Experience

            Essential:         Three (3) years recent nursing experience, of which one (1) year must be in adult cardiology or cardiac surgery.

Personal Qualities/Skills

Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to speak, write and read English.
