Respiratory Therapist / اخصائي علاج تنفسي

Discuss of the protocol for respiratory care of individual patients with the Respiratory Therapist, the Consultant Pulmonologist and Anaesthetist.

Provide the required respiratory care, with continuing monitoring and evaluation according to the request of referring physician.

Obtain arterial blood samples to evaluates respiratory status and manage ventilator accordingly.

To ensure RT equipment is in excellent working order and properly disinfected after use. If equipment has malfunction report to biomedical engineer and RT Supervisor.

Assist in Departmental research projects and in assessment of new respiratory care equipment and technology and give feedback to Supervisor.

Participate in teaching and in-service education programs, as mandatory hospital standards.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the departmental policy and procedures and patients needs and must be knowledgable and skilled.

Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient  education practice.

Participates in CQIPS system improvement activities, system control activities, staff development activities.

Educational/Licensure:

Bachelor in Respiratory Therapy in recognized school/universities.

Registration and Accreditation of Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

BCLS Certified.

Desirable:

NBRC Certification

AHA Advance Cardiac Life Support capability
