REGISTRAR IN PULMONOLOGY - AL HADA MILITARY HOSPITAL

5.1     Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division.

5.2     Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.

5.3     Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

5.4     Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.

5.5     Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable. 

5.6     Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.

5.7     Participates in and/or actively supports approved research.

5.8     Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.

5.9     Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.

5.10   Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated.

5.11   Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities. Provide the highest standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she id responsible.

 5.12  Manage the more junior staff in the department in the performance of their clinical duties and specific training programs.

5.13   Initiate evaluation and treatment of patients; modify evaluation and treatment of patients begun by junior staff in furtherance of the highest quality patient care.

5.14   Participate in the management of the department and the planning of developments.

5.15   Participate in research and the full range of on-call duties.

5.16   Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities

Self-motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English.

Graduate from a recognized medical school. Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Internal Medicine/Pulmonology. SCHS registered as Registrar.
