Fire & Safety Technician / فني سلامة ومكافحة حرائق

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the maintenance, PPM of all fire fighting equipment/extinguishers within the hospital and hospital estates, i.e. housing and single accommodations.
2. Undertakes routine maintenance of Fire alarm Systems with in the Hospital.
3. Assist the Fire & Safety Inspector with the presentation of lectures and practical training session in Fire & Safety for all staff.
4. Responsible for the maintenance of Fire & Safety reports and documentation within the department.
5. Ensures “Inspection Record” cards are filled in during routine maintenance periods.
6. Monitor PPM and maintenance of fire safety system and equipment by external contractors.
7. Ensures contractors employees follow the hospital’s Safety Policy for Contractors whilst working on site.
8.  Performs any other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skill and abilities

Specialized Knowledge

1. Knowledge of fire alarm systems.
2. Halon Systems.
3. Knowledge of Hospital Standards in S. or U.K.
4. Maintenance of sprinkler and smoke systems.
5. Knowledge and experience in testing all types of fire extinguishers
