Duties and Responsibilities
Carries out the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the patients and to do GI procedures whenever necessary (Upper GI Scope, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Liver biopsy etc).
Offers consultation to other units or departments.
Takes on– call duty with the Internists.
Participate in the teaching of the Medical Staff, attends to his own specific training.
Undertakes and participates in research projects in collaboration with Medical and Paramedical Staff as appropriate.
Participates in the administration of the department as allocated by Chief of Medicine.
Participate in the quality improvement activities of the department.
Skills
Background in General Internal Medicine (Mandatory)
Experience in teaching and clinical research (desirable).
Computer Skills (desirable).
Education
MD Degree,6.2MRCP (UK), or American Board / Arab Board equal in Gastroenterology
