Duties and Responsibilities
Carries out the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the patients including prescribing of all necessary medication & investigations.
Offers consultation to other departments.
Takes On– Call duty for Medical Patients, who present to Emergency Department and patients in Medical Department according to the monthly Rota.
Participate in the teaching of the Medical Staff, attends to his own specific training.
Undertakes and participates in research projects in collaboration with Medical and Paramedical Staff as appropriate.
Participates in the administration of the department.
Supervise the activities of Diabetic Center and ensure excellent care to be provided by the Staff.
Prepare lectures to diabetic in Arabic on video tapes to be shown to Diabetics; Insulin, Insulin dose when and how to inject Hypogycemia treatment of obese type 2, etc.
Skills
Background in General Internal Medicine (Mandatory)
Experience in teaching and clinical research (desirable).
Computer Skills (desirable).
Education
MD,6.2MRCP (UK), or American Board / Arab Board equal in Endocrinology
