Job Description
- Adhere to all PSMMC Policies and Procedures (MCWPP).
- Maintain personal and professional standards according to the PSMMC vision, mission and values.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional code of conduct.
- Treat patients with respect at all times.
- Assist the primary nurse in the admission, assessment, planning, and evaluation of care and transfer/discharge of patients.
- Escort patients to other department provided the patients do not require technical care and where a “no risk” situation exists i.e non-sedated patients and no medical equipment.
- Assist and accompany male/medical staff by a female nursing staff during rounds and procedures to be done outside the clinical areas specific to the female patients.
- Observe and report unusual symptoms and changes of patients condition to the Charge Nurse or relevant nursing staff.
