Establishes a good working environment in which patients receive a high standard of care.

Takes responsibility for the direct delivery of professional and competent patient care by promoting quality care standards.

Acts on behalf of or at the direction of the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse in setting and monitoring standards for patient care.

Participates in the monitoring of the Planning, delivery of care and evaluator of the individualized Patient Care

Informs the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse of any changes in circumstances, which affect the standards of care.

Establishes and develops effective communications with all staff of other disciplines, patients, relives and all hospital employees.

Maintains the safety and well-being of patients and staff in accordance with policies and procedures.

Uses equipment and supplies in cost effective and responsible manner and participates in the procedure for ordering supplies within the agreed budget as delegated.

Adhere to Infection Control guidelines and practices accosting to the policy.

Ensures that students and temporary staff allocated to the ward have appropriate orientation, teaching and support in accordance with their curricular objectives and reports any manner of concern to the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse.

Participates in the cam, custody and administration of Medicines in accordance with the PPG.

Documents and reports all accidenWincidents according to hospital policy.

Ensures that all nursing documentation is completed accurately and legibly and understands

English language proficiency.

Computer literacy.

Leader and management skills.

Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and personality skills.
