يكون مجال إهتمام مدير إدارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات على نتائج الإجراءات المتخذه ، حسن سير وتوافق عمل إدارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات ، التطوير المناسب للأنظمة الجديدة لتقديم رعاية المرضى المبنية على إحتياجات المستشفى من تكنولوجيا المعلومات

التعاون مع موظفي تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات ، ورؤساء الأقسام للتأكد أن أنظمة البرامج الحالية تلبي إحتياجات الأقسام

صياغة معايير تكنولوجيا المعلومات وسياسات الشراء ، تنصيب وتركيب البرامج ، أجهزة أو معدات خارجية جديدة في المستشفى

الإشراف وتحديد أولويات صيانة أجهزة الحاسب الآلي والبرامج ، تشخيص وإصلاح مشاكل المعدات والشبكات.  العمل مع موردين من الخارج فيما يتعلق بعمليات الإصلاح الكبرى

المراجعة والموافقة على الطلبات المتعلقة بالحاسب الآلي من الأقسام

الإدارة والإشراف على كافة انشطة القسم وتشمل

تطوير البرامج الجديدة

نظام الشبكات

البرامج والتطبيقات المستخدمة بالأقسام

صيانة البرامج والمعدات

تنظيم عمل الموظفين

كافة المشاكل المتعلقة بالحاسب الآلي بالأقسام

جدولة الموظفين (اليومي ، الحضور ، الإجازة السنوية)

متطلبات القسم المتنوعة

تطوير ، تفسير ، وتطبيق السياسات والإجراءات

القيام بالقيادة ، التوجيه والدعم للموظفين الذين يتم الإشراف عليهم بشكل مباشر

المشاركة بشكل فعال في تطوير الأنظمة من إختيار الموظفين والمهام الأخرى المتعلقة بإدارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات

عقد إجتماعات الإدارة بشكل دوري. توجيه وإرشاد فريق عمل إدارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات في إنجاز المهام المكلفين بها في الوقت المناسب

التواصل شفهياً وكتابياً في المواضيع المعقدة ، النتائج والقرارات

القيام بمهام وواجبات أخرى يكلف بها في نطاق مؤهلاته وخبراته

Duties and Responsibilities:

The ICT Director is primarily interested in the results of the positions' actions: the smooth and consistent operation of ICT department, the timely development of new systems to meet patient care based hospital information technology needs

Collaborate with ICT staff, Department heads to ensure that the current software systems are meeting the needs of departmental needs

Establish Information Technology (IT) standards and policies for purchasing, installing, and configuring new hardware, software and peripheral equipment in the hospital

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all the Computers, peripheral equipment and software

Supervise and prioritize maintenance of Computer hardware and software; diagnose and repair equipment and network problems; work with outside vendors for major repairs

Review and approve Computer related equipment requests from the user departments

Manage and Monitor all departmental activities

Developing new Application software

Networking system

On going Application software in the departments

Hardware and Software maintenance

Staff organization

All Computer related issues of departments

Staff scheduling (Daily Attendance, Annual Leave)

Development, Interpretation, and Implementation of Policy and Procedure

Provide leadership, direction, and support to those directly supervised

Actively participate in development of systems for staff selection and other functions related to the ICT department

Facilitate periodical departmental meeting. Direct and guide the ICT staff team in   accomplishing assigned tasks in time

Communicate orally and in writing complex issues, conclusions, and decisions

Performs other duties within the realm of his/her qualifications and experience

Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a diverse team of  professionals

 Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and coordinate all phases, including initiation, development, implementation, and maintenance of large software development projects
