• Assists in the overall functioning of the Patient Education Department.
• Prepares and disseminates educational and informational materials to the patient and out / in patient areas.
• Assesses educational need for both in patients and out patients; plan, implement and evaluate programs to meet their needs.
• Develops and implements a basis health education program for patient and/or visitors.                 
• Prepares standard program for common health programs, i.e. diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease and individualized program as needed.
• Make daily rounds on all nursing department to facilitate communication between medical demonstration techniques, staff and patients.                   
• Acts as educational consultation to nursing and other department.
• Conducts information sessions for patient with common health education needs. 
• Collaborates with public health nurse to develop programs to be utilized by in/out patients. 
• Performs other duties/tasks within the realms of his/her knowledge, skills and ability.
• Operates and supervise health education program broadcasting to all in/out patients by central net video and health education satellite channel. 
• Keep a register of all health education materials approved by CQI&PS and participates in system improvement, system control and staff development activities.
