Job Description
- Collects dirty equipment and instruments.
- Cleans, Decontaminates, repackages, and sterilizes instruments, restocks and assembles case carts and surgical
- Ensures specialty carts are stocked and ready for immediate use.
- Performs quality control through routine testing and cleaning to assure sterilization equipment and instruments are functioning properly.
- Inspects equipment, instruments, and packaging for cleanliness, defects and/or malfunctions.
- Documents sterilization cycle. Labels products with sterilization date. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Knowledge of transporting and disposing of hazardous materials and sharp objects according to hospital procedure
