طبيب مقيم طوارئ - A&E Resident

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Abides the Medical Staff by Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.

• Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the Chief of department/head of department and the supervising consultant in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

• Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department.

• Undertakes the provision of medical care under supervision, including formulation of plans for investigation and treatment of patient conditions.

• Attends all specific training activities as arranged by Academic Affairs and Training Department.

• Assists the consultant in his clinical work.

• Fulfils the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialities with regard to training programme.

• Acquires and maintains valid certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

• Participates in approved research projects, as applicable.

• Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (e.g. Quality Improvement Projects, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.

• Attends the active teaching programme for residents.

• Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.

• Participates in the Major Disaster Control Plan of the hospital, as indicated.

• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employees knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Personal Qualities/Skills:

• Ability to assume greater responsibility in matters of patient care.

• Ability to supervise junior / subordinate medical and paramedical staff.

• Commitment to learning and training in pursuance of a career in Medicine.

• Ability to deal calmly, with tact and diplomacy to patient and staff alike.
