5.4       Sampling blood from invasive cardiovascular lines: blood gas drawing, analysis,   and interpretation

5.5       Artificial airway management

5.6       Aerosolized drug administration

5.7       Oxygen therapy

5.8       Humidity therapy

5.9       Continuous positive airways pressure therapy (CPAP) and Bi-level CPAP

5.10     Transcutaneous gas monitoring & pulse oximetry

5.11     Capnography (side stream and main stream)

5.12     Patient assessment

            5.13     Intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV)

5.14     Incentive spirometer (IS)

5.15     Chest physiotherapy

5.16     Effective communication with other departments

5.17     Operation of all equipment in accordance with department policy

            5.18     Quality control of all equipment including Blood Gas Analyzers

            5.19     Chest physiotherapy and alternative airway maneuvers

5.20     Active participation in the department’s Quality Assurance Program

5.21     Participation in in-service education program

5.22     Equipment disinfection and other assigned duties
