• Organize and monitor the central tray distribution system, ensure that the appropriate preparations are made in order to have a smooth running of patient meals services.

• Ensure that foods are properly presented, portion control is maintained and complete necessary records of portions are sold and returned.

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.

• Prepare maintenance work requests and ensure that all service equipment are in a safe working condition.

• Control formula stokes in all diet kitchen on weekly basis and monitor expiry date.

• Ensure that food for patients (diet) and staff are served at the correct temperature, check all food prior to service and record these in the appropriate temperature log book.

• Issue feed products to out-patients based on patient’s record and document in the hospital system, using out-patient supply program.

• Print Enteral Feed Labels for inpatients as per prescriptions done by dietitians, on time to prepare feeds in the Formula Room.

• Complete menus for all patients on modified diets based on T-card information and diet orders.

• Make sure that completed menus, T-cards, enteral feed labels, etc. are taken to the diet office in time for meal service.

• Make sure the dietary items are delivered to formula room and prepare store room inventory with expiry date on weekly basis.

• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Good basic knowledge of nutrients essential in human nutrition and food sources of nutrients.

• Knowledge of making appropriate diet modifications using diet therapy principles.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

• Ability to relate to people, particularly on a one-to-one basis.

• Ability to work effectively under general supervision.

• Ability to work well under pressure and with a variety of personality types.

البكالوريوس في علوم الأغذية والتغذية. خبرة لا تقل عن (3) سنوات كأخصائي تغذية عام مؤهل في مستشفى متوسطة إلى كبيرة الحجم
