Duties and Responsibilities
- The actual cooking of assigned patient menus.
- Perform food preparation duties that include, washing vegetables, peeling, chopping, meat and poultry cutting and deboning, seasoning of food and food tasting.
- Cook a variety of food items from the Ala Carte menu.
- Cook variety of menus for banquets and special events.
- Ensures that all cooked food are wholesome and that is fit for human consumption.
- Adhere to the highest standards of food production and food safety.
Skills
- Must be able to meet deadlines for daily duties and assignments.
- Depth knowledge of proper food production theories and methods.
- Ability to read and write production sheets with ease.
- Must adhere to the departmental sanitation and cleaning procedure.
