Consultant Radiologist / استشاري أشعة

Duties and Responsibilities:

Undertakes clinical duties as designated by the Chief of Imaging in any of the subspecialties through which Consultants rotate on a weekly basis.  May be required to undertake duties at any establishment.

Supervises the Radiology Resident and participates in the formal radiology residency training programme.

Supervises Radiology Registrars and Residents in radiological investigations and reporting. Analyses the results of radiological examinations.

Supervises technical staff, other paramedical staff and nursing staff involved in radiological investigations.

Assists in the training, teaching, supervision and assessment of trainee technicians, radiologists and others as required.

Takes part in teaching programme lectures, seminars, tutorials etc.

May participate in research programmes with agreement of the Chief of Imaging.

Assists the Chief of Imaging in formation of departmental policies, patient protocols and other administrative duties. Assists in development of plans to meet long term goals of the Department and NAFH.

Conducts meetings with other clinicians, nursing and paramedical staff to ensure total care.

Undertakes emergency and on call duties.

Participates in orientation and in-service education programmes.

Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient  education practice.

Participates in CQI & PS systems improvement activities.

Participates in CQI & PS systems control activities.

Participates in CQI & PS staff development activities.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his / her knowledge, skill and ability.

Education / Licensure:

American Board, Saudi Board or equivalent qualification.

Current licensure from the country of origin.

SCHS Accreditation & Registration.

Basic Life Support (BLS).

Working knowledge of nuclear medicine.

Experience in teaching.
